Troop 284's 40th Anniversary
SIGNS UP – Come celebrate Troop 284’s 40th Anniversary at West Hills Park in Huntington. Food, Fellowship and Fun. We are extending an invitation to your family and anyone you know that has been involved with the troop. This is the first time we have reached out to every Scout, Leader and Committee person that has been involved with Troop 284. Please join your old and new friends and share your Troop experiences. Bring your stories, your pictures, your anecdotes, a chair and an appetite.
Come for dinner, or come for the day, and even stay overnight!

Directions to West Hills Park
LI Expressway(495) to ex 48N (Round Swamp Rd) at first traffic light take left folk(Round Swamp Rd.) proceed 1.8 to High Hold Rd. (Park entrance signs) make right continue 1/4 mile to parking lot on left. Shuttle may be provided or walk to Visitor Center and follow the trail behind it to S- shelter (the one in the field)
Troop 284 is looking for past photos of your time in the troop for a slideshow presentation to be played at the 40th Anniversary Campfire on May 17th! If there are some images you would like to share contact us, or you can now upload them right here on the site! (Link is a popup window.) Please bring hard coppies of photos to any scheduled troop meeting to enter them into the slideshow.
To send us your pictures online:
- Open the uploader.
- Click "Browse".
- Navigate to the picture(s) you wish to upload.
- Select the image, click "OK".
- Repeat up to 5 times!
- Click "Upload File(s)"
- After the file(s) are uploaded, you can click "Go Back" to send some more!
Restrictions:
- Files can not be any larger than 1.5 Megs, if you need assistance resizing photos send an email to us here.
- Either on digital or disposable we all have the same picture of Yawgoog Pond, but if you think yours is unique, send a message to the events staff for 'special consideration'.
- Troop 284 Scout trips only please. I'm sure your old Mustang was a great car, but it wont make it into the slideshow.
